Now Hiring a Work Readiness Manager

Landforce is looking for a full-time Work Readiness Manager who will work closely with Landforce crew members to assess current career skills, interests, and aptitudes and assist them to set career path goals including  training or employment. In addition, the Work Readiness Manager will work with crew members to identify employment barriers and connect them to social/supportive services available to ensure they can accomplish significant career development milestones towards these goals.  See Position Profile for more details about responsibilities and qualifications. 

Who We Are:

We are a close knit, committed, and diverse team, with a dual mission of supporting the transition to full-time employment for people struggling to succeed in our economy, while simultaneously improving our environment.

Over the last four years we have hired 72 people, provided more than 11,000 hours of workforce readiness training, nearly 2,500 hours of case management, and provided more than 41,000 hours of land stewardship to our region. Over the last two years alone, we have contributed 3,500 hours in green infrastructure installation and maintenance, 1,300 hours in tree and plant care, 3,500 hours building or maintaining trails, and 1,600 hours in other land stewardship tasks. Over the last two years, 96% of our program finishers have applied for post-Landforce employment, and all have received interviews. 92% have been offered follow-up jobs. 12 months after leaving landforce 91% of crew members are still working.
