Tiffany’s Moving Office
As we move through the season, we want to provide different perspectives on what we are doing here at Landforce. Staff and crewmembers will take turns writing posts about their experience. This week, Tiffany Kim, our Workforce Development and Outreach Manager, wrote the post below about her recent meetings with the crewmembers.
We have seen nearly every weather season in the last couple weeks, but we are making it work! Our crew has been working hard on their sites, and also towards their goals. Earlier this week, I wrapped up my one-on-one sessions with the crewmembers where I worked with them to identify their career and personal goals.
I set up my pop-up office at their working site and learned about where they came from, where they are now, and where they want to be. I was grateful for their openness and honesty. Through this intake process, I was able to begin identifying trainings and resources that our crewmembers need and desire, as well as potential career and education placements for after their time with us. As I build rapport with each of them, we can hopefully work together to achieve their goals. I am excited about who we have on our crews this season and I can’t wait to see how much we accomplish in these next few months!
