Do You Have a Tree to Donate?
Why Donate a Tree?
RWP does not fell any trees. The logs we recover are already on the ground or planned for removal by professional tree services. We would appreciate, if at all possible, being called prior to your certified arborist removing the tree since there are specific log requirements that we will need to request so that the logs are usable in our process.

Please be prepared to provide the following information:
- A photo showing the tree in its current condition
- The tree’s location, preferably within 15 miles of Pittsburgh’s East End
- Information about equipment access, including overhead hazards, narrow roadways, steep hillsides, or other potential obstacles
- Photos of the surrounding area
- A photo or diagram showing the entire tree, with the trunk, also known as the butt log, clearly highlighted red
Providing these details will help our team determine whether the tree is suitable and accessible for recovery.
